Absolutely Exquisite Vintage Bride Doll. For sale is offered a RARE Ashton Drake Doll "Melody" from the series'Forever Starts Tomorrow'. It is an original issue of porcelain bride dolls. Melody was designed by a world renowned artist Cindy McClure in an exclusive edition for Ashton Drake Galleries.

She comes to you in lovely vintage condition but is missing her original box. No blemishes and issues to report.

Melody came to life in 1997 and this edition was closed in 2000. The cast is no longer available & is officially RETIRED.

This is a stunning collection created by Cindy McClure as it features four of the most sumptuous wedding dresses ever designed for fine porcelain dolls. Her wedding gown is absolutely breathtaking! Her ivory taffeta dress is adorned with a confection of lace & embroidery, sequins & faux pearls. The bodice is decorated with Guipure Lace & delicate beading. A very detailed & complex design. The back is finished with a fabulous taffeta bow. Under the outer taffeta layer is another skirt made from beautiful, soft lace that peeps out from under the outer edge of the taffeta gown. Her honey blonde hair is attractively styled up with delicate ringlets falling around her neck. Her head is adorned with a fabulous pearl headpiece decorated with sumptuous delicate flowers at the back from which her tulle veil flows. Melody has turned slightly to check out her train & veil. She holds her bridal bouquet in her hand. This gorgeous lady has been on display in a cabinet in a clean, dry environment. However, there is one small item to note.. The stretch illusion net on her left breast appears to have been caught at some stage but has not formed a hole. I mention this slight detail as it part of her description & can be viewed in the photograph of the bodice. This young lady will be carefully packaged in her box with ample bubble wrap & foam peanuts to ensure her safe journey to her new home. Melody is delicately sculptured and radiantly painted to be as memorable of the day you yourself were married or simply enjoy one of the kind bridal designs. This beautiful doll will fill your home with the beauty and promise that only weddings can bring. He showered her with dozens of tulips on the night he proposed. Has decided she will carry nothing but tulips on her wedding day.

She is still in awe of this dress, more magnificent than she'd ever thought possible.
