From the well-kept collection of a meticulous Doll collector: Miss Gene Marshall in "The Perfect Gift" released in 2000, with a Limited Edition of 5,000. Miss Gene Marshall in "The Perfect Gift" is brand new, and has been professionally styled specifically for this ensemble.

Her lovely, bouncy red hair has gold under tones, and has been styled in a curly just below the chin-length bob, with curls just brushing her shoulders. Her haircut and color go perfect with her suit and especially her hat. Her ensemble is brand new and professionally steam pressed right out of its box.

The style of her attire was designed by Regina Ganem and is circa 1947. It is actually the perfect look for her for this occasion. This trim and attractive suit is fashioned of a dark green silk, lined in beige. The jacket sports a shawl collar, a short peplum and a belted back. Miss Marshall also wears a detachable corsage of maroon flowers, a green band-style hat adorned with maroon flowers with a short dark green veil attached with matching hat pins, a matching drawstring handbag with maroon flower decorations and maroon tassles, "emerald" stud earrings, an "emerald" necklace, "alligator" green pump shoes, and nude seamed hosiery.

The ensemble for "The Perfect Gift" designed by was Regina Ganem, a winner of the Ashton-Drake Young Designers of America Student Competition. Sang the speakers high above the Rockefeller Center skating rink, as the statue of Prometheus gazed down on two young women, as giddy as schoolgirls. You'd have never guessed from their antics that one was a successful New York City doctor-and that one was one of Hollywood's most beloved stars!

It began when one of Gene's closest friends from Cos Cob phoned asking Gene to New York for a holiday reunion. Appointments on both ends were juggled and soon the day arrived. Gene, in a trim green suit, waved to her friend across the plaza. After a delightful lunch, they found themselves in front of the rink. "I haven't in years, " said the Doctor.

"Me, neither, " said the Movie Star. And with rented skates on their feet and laughter on their lips, the two old friends skated the afternoon away. As dusk began to fall, Gene looked into her friend's eyes.

"Thank you for this perfect gift, " she said. But I haven't given you ANY present! "Oh, but you have, " insisted Gene.

You've given me your time and your friendship. That's just about the most perfect gift of all! And as the two of them hugged in the middle of the rink. Gene's friend wiped away a perfect tear. As Gene made her way back to her hotel that evening, she spotted a wreath in a store window that would match perfectly with the Christmas tree and decorations at her hotel.

All of the staff were touched by Gene's gesture of good will, most especially, the concierge, who appreciated that Gene had noticed the Christmas decorations with which he had so painstakingly adorned the hotel. The wreath had gold stars all over it reminding him of Gene, and a bow that matched perfectly with the ones he had put on the tree. Every year when he hung the wreath, he could not help but think of her and what a kind person she was.. Gene comes in her original white signature box. Gene's doll stand is included.
