From the well-kept collection of a meticulous Doll collector: Miss Gene Marshall in "Charming Enchantment"original released in 2002. This beauty in jade green is meant to be a companion to the original, "Swing time Serenade" doll, Violet Waters. HER HAIRSTYLE, MAKEUP, ENSEMBLE, AND ACCESSORIES HAVE ALL BEEN ENHANCED AND OR CHANGED. THIS RECREATION INCLUDES BOTH ITS ORIGINAL COA AND A NOTARIZED NEW COA BY THE ARTIST. Miss Gene Marshall in "Charming Enchantment" is brand new, and has been professionally styled specifically for this ensemble. She is meant to be a companion doll to the original Violet Waters in "Swingtime Serenade", showing Gene in a costume of a different color (similar to the convention dolls). However this time, the story belongs to Gene in her jade green version. Her cool-toned blonde hair has been styled into an elaborate low updo, parted on the side, with four defined curls at her crown and both sides twisted to the back.

Four shoulder length curls frame her face. Her makeup has been enhanced to compliment her gown for the occasion described in her story. She wears eyeshadow of a Dusty pink color which blends into light purple at her brow.

Her eyes are fully lined in a smoky gray color with her lashes being further enhanced with black. Her lipstick is a combination of three different shades of dark pink, giving her lips depth and with a top coat of clear gloss. Her ensemble was brand new prior to its alteration in color and detail. Miss Marshall's gown is made of jade green, gathered organza over an underskirt of the deepest jade green making her gown appear to change hue depending upon where light falls on it. As she moves or as lights move around her, her dress reflects different hues of jade green, since the top gathered layer of organza is translucent. The bodice is strapless (but is held in place by an invisible attached strap), the gathering starts from the top of the bodice and is held in place by a long thin sash of organza which Criss crosses the front and then ties at the waist in a bow. Green Austrian glass beads have been added to each end of the sash giving the gown more glamor. Underneath the tied sash, the gathers spread out into a full skirt with underskirt. The gown is fastened with hooks and eyes up the back. Miss Marshall also wears nude hosiery and hand-painted green enameled heeled shoes with wide black straps. She carries a matching beaded purse and also wears a matching organza wrap which falls all the way to the floor. To finish her look, she wears a custom-made bracelet and earrings made with green, black, and multicolored Austrian glass beads. These go perfectly with her intricately patterned necklace made of multicolored beads with a prominent green hue. Everyone knows how much Gene Marshall loves jazz music. On this special evening she is headed to a jazz club which is owned by a friend of hers. He has asked her if she would mind singing a song or two for the crowd. Unfortunately his business has been faltering, and he has asked Gene for this favor to save it.

And so of course, Gene obliges him. Gene wants her friend's club to thrive for him, but also for the sake of jazz music.

As well, the club is close to her house and she would hate to see it close. She dresses up for the occasion, knowing she will be performing, and that when news of her appearance spreads, photographers will undoubtedly come to take her picture. With any luck, the pictures will land in the following day's newspaper, mentioning the club as a great jazz spot. When Gene arrives, she decides to sit down and enjoy the place for a moment with a glass of her favorite cognac. She was loving the music and was not even finished with her first drink when the band leader pointed her out in the crowd, thanked her for joining them, and asked her up to the stage. Gene flashed the crowd with a huge Hollywood smile and made her way to the microphone. She sang her heart out, performing an entire set, which the crowd loved. Her voice sounded as smooth as silk. When she finished, the crowd roared with applause. And she said, I'd like to thank everyone for coming out tonight! I have truly enjoyed performing for you here at this jazz club of one of my closest friends. She gave his hand a squeeze as he joined her on stage. "Thank you, " she said, Thank you so much.
