TellStar was released in 2004 as a special Annual Edition limited to only 400 dolls and represents Gene Marshall circa 1961. This elegant release features Gene with beautifully styled dark hair, dramatic makeup and an elaborate champagne and gold brocade evening ensemble. An especially charming part of the TellStar release is its connection to Gene's fictional Hollywood history.

Gene is presented at a reception celebrating a planned book chronicling her twentieth year in show business. The release includes a miniature scrapbook along with pages intended to represent Gene's memories and memorabilia. This example has NEVER BEEN REMOVED FROM THE BOX and appears complete with her original outfit, accessories, paperwork, scrapbook materials and other contents as shown in the photographs. The doll remains secured in her original packaging and has not been removed for additional inspection. Her elaborate brocade ensemble displays beautifully, and the original accessories remain packaged with her.
