EMILY Dianna Effner Classic Collection for Ashton Drake 16 porcelain/cloth doll
Up for sale is a truly adorable doll designed by the late Dianna Effner. Emily is part of her 1996 Classic Collection series for Ashton Drake Galleries. Molds for this doll were destroyed by the company in 1999 and copies will never be cast. This beautiful girl is number 3896FA in the series, and is marked as such on her neck and COA card. Dianna's signature is embossed on the back of her neck as well. Emily is the embodiment of little girl innocence and charm, with her deep brown eyes, and sweet hair dtyle accented by curls, braiding and tiny flowers. She is wearing a lovely striped dress with a removable bib, pantaloons, textured stockings and tan boots with pearl buttons. She is on her original wood stand with a name plaque. She has a porcelain head plate, and nicely detailed and blushed partial porcelain arms and legs. The remainder of her body is stuffed cloth.
She comes with her full paperwork and box - but the box was used as a mailer and has postal stickers on it. Emily is in very clean, odor free condition with no stains or scrapes. Her hairdo is in very very good condition, but there are a few strands which are not perfectly in the curls.. This charming beauty would make a precious addition to an Effner..
