Diana Princess of Wales Ashton Drake Tomescu doll 1998 Green Portrait gown 20

"Diana, Princess of Wales in Royal Portrait" is an original issue in the Portraits of Diana collection by artist Titus Tomescu. It was limited to a North American edition of 5,000 dolls, issued by Ashton Drake Galleries.

This doll was a retailer exclusive; you couldn't order it from Ashton-Drake, you had to get her from a retailer. Signed on bisque porcelain back just above cloth body joins (below back neckline). Green satin-look dress with faux pearl tiara and jewelry. The dress is a copy of a design by Victor Edelstein, who was one of Princess Diana's favorite English couturiers in the 1980's.

Dimensions: 20" Tall x 8" Wide x 10 deep. Note some photos appear redundant because I take photos from all possible angles. On symmetrical items, these photos may appear redundant when there are no distinguishing differences or condition issues between side views. All dimensions and weights approximate. I try to list EVERY flaw which would be commented on something in an antique or vintage condition - this does not mean all imperfections resulting from normal wear & use require comment.
