In her picture-book hat and veil, her "pearls" and short white gloves, "Charlotte" is every inch a bride in the true southern tradition. Her full-skirt gown has off-the -shoulder neckline, its full skirt of organdy with a deeply embroidered floral hem. Her tiny, enviable waist is tied with a wide sash of pink crepe.

"Charlotte" carried a basket of magnolias and spring blooms, and her crowning glory is her wedding hat, festooned with gathered netting, elegant flowers and a tiered wedding veil. The underskirt is of white stiff taffeta to hold out the wide skirted gown, petticoat is full white net, calf length bloomers trimmed in white lace and white low heels.
